A real villa, not a flat in a block

“Casa di Piera” — named after my mother — is a detached villa in Villagrazia di Carini, 25 kilometres from Palermo, in a quiet, green area a short walk from the sea. Independent access along a tree-lined drive, a garden with olive trees and succulents, mountain views: a completely different rhythm from the city centre.

The home is on the ground floor, with direct access from the garden. It comprises a bright veranda-kitchen, a large living room with a double sofa bed, TV, air conditioning and a well-stocked library, a separate bedroom with a four-season wardrobe and a view over the greenery, and a full bathroom with shower, bidet and baby changing table. The entire space — including the garden with its equipped area — is for the exclusive use of guests.

Casa di Piera is designed for those who don’t want to give up connectivity (Wi-Fi 212 Mbps, dedicated desk) but are after fresh air, space and quiet at the end of the working day. Or for anyone who simply wants to switch off, with the beach within walking distance.

How the house is laid out

Every room is designed to alternate work and relaxation: space to cook, to work, to sleep well, and to enjoy the garden and the sea a short walk away.

🌿 Veranda kitchen (entrance): You enter the house through the large veranda-kitchen, airy and bright. It’s the first space you reach from the olive-lined drive: a room that immediately puts you at ease, with everything needed to cook and prepare breakfasts, lunches and dinners.

🛋️ Living room: Large and well furnished, with a double sofa bed, a three-seater sofa, TV, air conditioning, a library with dozens of titles spanning non-fiction and novels, Wi-Fi at 212 Mbps and a desk. The French doors open directly onto the outdoor veranda overlooking the garden. It’s also the ideal workspace for digital nomads and professionals on assignment.

🛏️ Bedroom: Separate and private, with a double bed, a four-season wardrobe, a large chest of drawers and a window onto the greenery. A quiet, well-ventilated room, designed for real rest.

🚿 Bathroom: Generous for a villa of this size: WC, bidet, washbasin, baby changing table, cabinets and a spacious shower. All tidy and functional.

🌱 Garden with equipped area: The outdoor space is perhaps Casa di Piera’s most significant added value. Olive trees, succulents, an equipped area for spending time outside: a real garden, for the exclusive use of guests. The neighbouring villas are spaced apart, so privacy is assured.

A strategic location many don’t expect

Villagrazia di Carini isn’t a conventional tourist destination. It’s a village of fishermen and permanent residents, a few kilometres from the airport, a short walk from the sea and surrounded by still-intact nature. It’s the kind of place that makes you think: “why didn’t I stay here sooner?”

Compared to central Palermo, it offers things that are hard to find in the city: real quiet, hassle-free parking, country air and a crystal-clear sea 300 metres away. With the A29 motorway, you’re in Palermo in 20 minutes.

Noise and privacy

The villas in the area are spaced apart. There’s no noise from heavy traffic or other apartment blocks. At night it’s silent. Privacy is one of the strengths guests mention most often.

Getting here by car

Take the A29 motorway, Villagrazia di Carini exit (from Palermo towards Mazara del Vallo, or from the airport towards Palermo). Follow the SS113 towards Palermo for Villagrazia di Carini. After about 2 km, the connecting road opens on the left by the Carollo grocery shop (Via Carbolangi). Note: the turning is on a bend. Alternatively, continue to the entrance of Villagrazia, turn around in the square and come back 2 km.

Getting here by train

From Palermo Airport towards Palermo, or from Palermo towards Trapani: Piraineto station. Call us as soon as you arrive at the station for a transfer to Casa di Piera.
